Factoring 202: Marketing and Productivity

Factoring 202 is all about actually getting into business.  It is about marketing a what is referred to as “Business Development” in the industry.  As you know, in the factoring industry, every firm has BDO’s or “Business Development Officers”.  If you are entering the industry as a Freelance Factoring Broker / Consultant, your job is virtually identical as that of a Business Development Officers with one name difference.  When working for a firm, BDOs are compensated with a formula that includes a salary plus a commission override.  You, as a freelance consultant, unfortunately, do not enjoy the salary.  You do, however, will likely earn a higher percentage of the factoring fees.  Additionally, you will earn a commission for the “Life-of-the-Account”.  A BDO does not.  If he or she leaves the firm or is terminated, the business they developed is gone.

The IACFB magazine is a helpful tool and especially when building networks of Sponsored Agents.  Articles in the magazine are of two types;

  1. Current Articles:  Accessible to all visitors
  2. Archives Articles:   Accessible by members only

Your unique affiliate link for earning commissions as you build your Sponsored Agents (Factoring 303) is available to by logging into your account as DataMax Hosting.  In your dashboard, select “Affiliates” from the upper menu.

LinkedIn is a “cornerstone” of your network marketing campaigns so the faster you learn how to use LinkedIn, the better. Many campaigns depend on LinkedIn.  The faster you learn it, the better,  (Click here) 

Career freelance professionals will require a CRM and at IACFB, we highly recommend Pipedrive and it is actually the only CRM we support.  If you have not installed Pipedrive, do so now.  Pipedrive is very powerful and very reasonably priced for your current subscription .  This linked will provide you with a 30 FREE subscription trial.

Once you have installed your Pipedrive System, IACFB will modify and set up both “Pipelines” for you or, optionally, you can make modifications for yourself.

Your website’s forms are your primary method of generating “leads” for prospecting and you have two basic methods of setting up your forms.  You can use Pipedrive’s powerful forms tool which feeds leads directly to your Deal Pipeline or  alternatively, use the WPForms plugin.  Both will get the job done and DataMax will code your forms properly depending on which tool you elect.  (More Info)

  3. From the “Add a Listing Page” select BROKER or CONSULTANT
