Creating Your First Article Posts

For new factoring brokers, learning how to effectively use social media and blogging is essential for building relationships and establishing yourself in the industry. These tools are the foundation of consultative marketing, a strategy that focuses on providing valuable insights and solutions to potential clients and referral sources. By sharing well-crafted blog posts and engaging content, you demonstrate your expertise while fostering trust and connection.

As part of the IACFB’s Startup Plan, one of your first priorities should be learning how to manage your blog and post your initial articles on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and other social media channels. LinkedIn, in particular, is a powerful tool for professional networking, allowing you to share your content with potential clients and referral sources in a professional setting.

Effect content marketing is one of the fastest methods to build a consulting business in factoring and commercial finance.  Posting articles is very easy and a great way to get started is by joining the IACFB Brokers Group on LinkedIn, where you can post your first articles, engage with others in the industry, and begin building valuable connections. This step helps you establish your online presence and introduces you to a community of professionals eager to collaborate and share insights.

As you will discover in the marketing training here at the Academy, mastering consultative marketing is becoming more and more the “trend” of long-term success in our business.  You need to position yourself as a”consultant“, not a salesman.  A larger and larger function as a factor or alternative finance broker is fulfilling the task of becoming a ready source of knowledge for your business clients.  You must become a “personal business finance consultant” and always be available when capital needs arise.

Being a successful factoring broker today means content marketing, and by that, we do not mean posting an article once a week. As a new broker, your very first campaigns will likely involve “Connection Campaigns” on LinkedIn.  Your website’s blog posts will go hand-in-hand with those Connection Campaigns. You need to become efficient in your ability to post article content at least once a day as you get started.

Mastering necessary content marketing tools early on will set you on the “right’ path to success as a new broker. They will be helping you attract leads, nurture relationships, and position yourself as a trusted advisor in the factoring industry.
