The Factoring 101 Program

The Factoring 101 Program represents a unique learning experience for those who have discovered the uncommon opportunities found in the business development side in the alternative commercial finance industry and in particular, commercial factoring.  This is a very highly professional,  “under-the-radar” niche area found  in the consulting profession and still today, it is unknown to most.  Factoring 101 is one of the few true training programs that is available to teach those “special” entrepreneurs and mobile creatives how to succeed in the industry and, for most, work with IACFB professionals to develop a personal career unlike few others. 

About Factoring 101

  • Access to the Factoring 101 program is through your IACFB membership.  The training is very straight forward with members / students being provided the IACFB Broker’s Factoring 101 Training Guide with supplemental online training.  With slightly over 200+ pages of print content, comprehensive online support factoring knowledge, and a continuing education section with which will introduce members with many other important financing tools required for small business owners, all IACFB Members with have the capability to begin to earn very attractive commission and fee income if they apply themselves.  Virtually anyone can become successful as a consultant in this industry at some level if the apply themselves. 

About the Academy and the Campus

So you understand the program conceptually, it’s best you know where you are. 

  • ACADEMY:  This is the website that houses the Campus
  • CAMPUS:  this is the online training facility that offers “courses” to members.  Currently, there are three courses offered at the Campus with one more on the way.
    • Factoring 101:  This is the “products” course.  It provides lessons on the actual financing products you will use in your business, whether you are an in industry broker / consultant, accounting professional, small business mentor, affiliate marketer, or other professional.  The core training product of the course is the book:  Factoring 101:  The Broker’s Guide Broker’s to Factoring.  This comprehensive 5-star rated training guide for new brokers has sold over 800 bound copies on Amazon and over 500 in PDF download format from the Campus.
    • Factoring 202:  This is the “marketing / business development course and provides insights into the tools needed by industry brokers / consultants as they launch their business.  It also includes the “ANNEX” which is a “Business-in-a-Box” potpourri of templates for 3-panel brochures, mail stuffers, cover letters, phone scripts, flyers, etc.  Factoring 202 additionally includes “ready to go” professionally designed state-of-the-art WordPress websites and 30 Day FREE look at Pipedrive CRM. 
    • Factoring 303:  This is a continuing education course which provides you with the financial tools to become a true commercial finance consultant.  Factoring 303 introduces you to the many other products available to you in asset=based lending and is designed to set you apart from the business of that of a simple “factoring broker” or ISO.
    • Factoring 404:  This is a course on the Discount Note and Cash Flow Industry.  It includes how to both broker and purchase mortgage notes for investment as well as specialty consumer products such as structured settlement cash outs, inheritance advances, pre-legal settlement advances, and more.  For real estate investors, this is a valuable course.  For brokers, it opens another product door in most states (licensing).
  • The MAGAZINE:  The IACFB Magazine at Commercial Finance Consultants.com is an online publication for the commercial finance consultant community.  It is the only publication of its kind in the industry.   In addition to monthly articles of interest to brokers, the magazine houses the ” Lender Spotlight Archives” which is an area specifically set aside for IACFB “Members Only”.  While the front page of the magazine is accessible to all visitors on the internet, certain areas of  the Archives require login.  When you are set up as an IACFB Member, you are also set up with “EXACTLY THE SAME PASSWORD” at the magazine.  The magazine is constantly updated and as you study the courses here, you will see links to the magazine so it is best to log into the magazine as well when you log into the Academy.
  • DIRECTORY OF LENDERS:  The Directory of American Factors and Lenders is published by IACFB and is a “searchable” database of those industry lenders based on their specialty.  Over time, you will build your own personal directory of lenders you find useful.  The IACFB database will provide you with that “raw data”.  Additionally, this online database provides you a business listing as  a marketing tool once you setup operation with a website.  It is very beneficial and a powerful tool for  you, as a member, as you learn the industry.  As you visit the various factors and lenders so you can see the many specialty areas (preferences) of the depth of unique lenders that make up alternative commercial finance.
  • IACFB on YOUTUBE:  This is a new area that we have set aside as a training forum for “Sponsored Agents” and those setting up an agency.  This YouTube Channel assists brokers and consultant to attract candidates for their agent programs.
  • IACFB on LINKEDIN:  The IACFB Group on LinkedIn is essential to join.  LinkedIn is the social media we use to post new content and news important to brokers and members. Becoming a member of the IACFB Factoring Group means you can check the latest articles on the magazine or new content at the Campus at one easy to access point.  LinkedIn is, of course, FREE and as we say it is essential.

About Your IACFB Membership and Subscription

Your access to the Campus as a “Member” is made up of two (2) components.

  1.  MEMBERSHIP:  This is a one-time charge for access to training at the Campus.  Membership includes the training guide (The Broker’s Guide to Factoring), the Factoring 101 Online supplemental training, and access to the magazine’s archives. 
  2. SUBSCRIPTION:  This is a $4.95 monthly payment which..
    • Keeps your subscription active to the Campus and the Magazine
    • Provides a nearly 35% discount for basic website hosting fees if you opt for a standard FB-Series  IACFB factoring broker website.  (Hosing  $9.95 monthly rather than standard $14.95 monthly)
